  • Product description

The ATIS 3 is new high end EN B (LTF 1–2) category glider. The performance is suited for regular pilots who enjoy speed (up to 52 km/h) and the glide ratio (almost 9) and the sporty spirit of these performance factors.

Even though the majority of manoeuvres are rated A (safety-wise), the performance of the ATIS 3 is far beyond the safety level described by the certification manoeuvres. Occasional pilots and novice pilots might also enjoy and benefit most from ANAKIS, which is graded as an entry EN B level glider.

ATIS 3 is also suitable for MPG and PG flying and this glider can be delivered with risers with or without trimmers.
Pilots will enjoy very easy take off, safety in flight and performance that is very surprising, taking into account the passive safety of the glider.

    The main distinctive features are:

    • high stability,
    • speed and ability to penetrate headwinds,
    • low weight (4,9 kg in M size),
    • comfortable SKY handling,
    • thermalling prowess,
    • predictable and easily controlled reactions during SIV manoeuvres (Simulation d’Incident en Vol),
    • performance index (glide/aspect ratio) at the level 1,69 (!),
    • trailing edge with velcro opening for easy cleaning of the canopy,
    • state of the art manufacturing and high quality.

    Each glider is delivered with:

    • free Porter bag,
    • free T-shirt SKY TEAM.

    Canopy

The canopy is made out of the material DOKDO produced by South Korean textile factory Dominico Textiles. To reach the high quality and increase the durability of the canopy, we combine several material and coatings.
The upper panel are made of DOKDO-N20 DMF (WR), 36 grams per square meter.
Profiles are made of DOKDO-N30 DFM and the panels for the leading edge are made of DOKDO-N20 DMF (WR), 38 grams per square meter.

The material is made of Nylon 6.6 fibres (PA fibres) produced by Du Pont. The weaving pattern is the so called RipStop structure.

    Line scheme

The lines on the ATIS 3 are of the highest quality and are supplied by the German firm EDELRID and LIROS. These lines have high resistance from mechanical abrasion as well as a high degree of length stability.

For the upper cascade we used ELDERID 7850–080 lines. These lines are one millimetre in diameter; the core is manufactured out of “dyneema” and the outer sheath from polyester. The lower lines are manufactured out of PPSL 160 a 200 (Liros) and main brake line are from EDELRID 7850–240..

    Risers

The risers are made from 20 mm wide webbing, it is manufactured by our supplier MOUKA TIŠNOV. The suspension lines are connected to the risers by means of quick links (maillons) from the French supplier Maillon Rapide.
