The change in the rules and the permission to use "folding lines" to simulate collapses in the lower category motivated us to create an extraordinary cross-country wing with the lowest possible air drag and moderate aspect ratio in the category. Two-liner design has been proven and worked very well in more than a decade in use, and a significant number of pilots who have tried the concept don't want to go back. The feeling of direct control of airspeed/pitch while piloting with the rear row is very effective for XC flying and greatly improves active piloting. According to the EN-C standard, paragliders are designed for self-regeneration without the need for pilot intervention and after thorough testing in all possible conditions, we can confidently say that the Merlin fits this definition.
