KOOKY 2 is the jack of all acro-trades: The larger sizes promote a predictable and easy entry into the world of acro paragliding, while the small sizes are ideal for the latest tricks up to international competition level.
Acro maneuvers requires a fast, precise and dynamic wing. But when learning those tricks a forgiving and predictable glider with great feedback, soft transitions and therefore a large amount of built-in safety is important as well. Depending on wing-loading, KOOKY 2 serves both needs.
The design of such a wing is a demanding task: A small canopy will provide enough energy for acro maneuvers, but will be unforgiving in transitions and unavoidable mistakes during the learning process. A conventional sized wing will be more forgiving, but limiting to the advancing acro pilot, lacking in precision, energy levels and dynamic handling. With KOOKY2 we managed to combine a surprisingly low wing-loading with the right amount of speed, dynamics and kinetic energy.
KOOKY 2 takes these qualities one step further: The two larger sizes enable thermal flying as well as a measured and predictable entry into and exit from tumbling. Size 18m (flat surface) is the entry ticket for intermediate and advanced recreational acro pilots - more speed, crisper handing and faster transitions, but still with predictable behaviour. With KOOKY 2 we added the sizes 16 and 14 for expert and competition acro pilots; these fast wings enable the latest tricks with lightning-fast and extremely precise transitions.
Target groups:
Sizes 22 and 20: Advanced and intermediate pilots beginning their acro paragliding journey, who need a wing on which they can safely practice advanced tricks.
Size 18: Acro intermediates or heavier more experienced pilots searching for more dynamic handling and extra speed.
Size 16 and 14: For experienced pilots who can perform acro manoeuvres at high speed.
Sizes 14 pro and 13 pro: Highly professional acro pilots who need maximum speed and dynamics for the latest most difficult tricks and lightning-fast transitions.
Key features:
soft and predictable (sizes 20 & 22) or fast and dynamic transitions (sizes 18 and smaller)
measured power (all sizes)
forgiving behaviour to be the ideal acro learning tool (sizes 20 & 22)
powerful, but still transparent behaviour for very advanced acro tricks (sizes 18 and smaller)
efficient climbing ability in thermals (sizes 20 & 22)

When I join the Sky Paragliders team my first dream was to have an acro wing with the ability to have all maneuvers in an easy way, we had to brainstorm with Alexander Paux and I shared the feeling of what we would need to change from Kooky to brings something new to the market, at the beginning I didn’t think that would take such a long time and way to reach, but after 3 years of working with many prototypes we finally found out the best trim and glider for the market to be able to bring something new for new needs of pilots.
KOOKY 2 has been designed and trimmed differently in two different groups. Pro and fun Pro levels are 14-16 sqm2 sizes and are trimmed and designed like a gun for comp and high levels pilots who want to reach and fly in the highest level of acro. The main goal was to have understandable feedback and an easy glider for such that level, you are able to do all the hardest new maneuvers with KOOKY 2 pro sizes in the safest way. Pro sizes are like F1 cars next to the speed and energy of this glider it flies great and maneuvers are looking beautiful from the outside.
KOOKY 2 size of 18sqm has been designed for people who want to size down and get ready for the pro level, at the same time this glider is forgettable and helps you through your acro career to help you learn easier all the manouvers. I flow with different loaded on 18sqm2, at the load of 4,8 I saw how easy its to climb in infinity. Brake range was very understandable to learn all the transitions like heli to heli or cowboy and joker. 18 is the size in that you can do all maneuvers in safety way.
20/22 I tried to call FUN sizes because I see how people get happy with smile when they tried it. The Idea of this sizes are people be able to learn all the maneuvers as loaded glider gets faster as the load is lower glider would fly slower at the average load you can easily make some thermaling and at the same time try acrobatics maneuvers. Friendly behavior is one of the biggest character of KOOKY 2 glider. :)

I always knew that having the right glider at the right time in my progression is super important to have the best and fastest learning curve. Once I finished 3rd in the World Championships and 2nd in the Acro World Tour I knew that I needed a glider that could provide more to match my skills for my future. I needed a glider with more power and pressure so I could perform more difficult tricks and at the same time fly all my tricks cleaner.
Once I flew the KOOKY 2 for the first time in El Hierro I felt exactly what I needed. Of course, I had to adapt a bit and get used to a new glider but I felt immediately that flying the tricks clean was way easier because of the higher pressure in the glider. This also resulted in creating a flying style that I really liked and I could fly way more efficiently because I didn’t need to take as much speed as before and lose unnecessary altitude.
The KOOKY 2 really fills up my need to fly exactly the way I want. The style, possibilities and fun all combined create a perfect balance to fly on the highest level in the acro scene.

As every competition wings, it’s fast and aggressive but not that much.
Bigger sizes are more for pilots who want to improve their piloting skills. Bigger sizes are super safe and have the perfect balance between aggressive and fun.
Between the 16 and the 14, I found some really interesting points. The 16 sq m requires a bit more precision but forgives way more mistakes. The 14 is really fun to fly with but it requires a really good piloting level in order to avoid problems.
