We are thrilled! Our designer and pilot Stanislav Klikar won the overall individual ranking at the Paragliding World Cup (PWC) event held from September 5–12, 2026, in Sopot, Bulgaria. To make things even better, the pilots who joined forces under our name showed incredible performance and secured first place in the team competition.
This double triumph is even more valuable to us because Standa flew in Sopot on our latest racing special, the Sky Harpy. The competition thus became the best possible arena for rigorous testing under real racing conditions.
How Standa evaluates this successful competition:
“At the World Cup in Sopot, Bulgaria, we experienced four great tasks, which ultimately led to victory. At the same time, we won the team competition with Sky Paragliders.
For me, it was mainly a great test of the final setup of our new racing special, the Harpy. Having the opportunity to verify everything we've been working on for the past few months directly in a race, and with such a result, is truly a great feeling. I believe that with the Harpy, Sky Paragliders can reach the world's top tier of racing glider manufacturers.”
The excellent result from this PWC event clearly shows that months of intense development and fine-tuning have paid off. The new Harpy wing demonstrated top performance and full competitiveness in the highest world league.
