From Nov.17 to Dez.3 I was in Argentina around Cordoba for paragliding and it was GREAT! We had a local guide (Gustavo Lallana www.volerparapente.com.ar) which did a great job and whenever you plan to go to Argentina you should meet him. We started from Cordoba where Gustavo has his Flight school. The first flight site was La Cumbre / Cuchi Corral which isn’t that high but has very good thermal condition and a river on the landing place where you can take a bath afterwards. Nearby Andy Hediger (former swiss performance pilot) has his headquarter. There we made some groundhandling and some of us flow with his ultralight or with the winch. Next Station was La Rioja / El Morro where it’s extremely hot and dry but the flight condition are good there and you can see some dust devils in the lower lands during a flight :-O. Then we drove to Merlo / Mirador de Los Condors where the XC-Open was ongoing. That flight site is real grate – it’s like the Pinzgau from Argentina ;-) Good clime, perfect mountains, only the wind from behind was not that good… After a visit in Villa Gen. Belgrano, what is some kind of a Bavaria Disneyland, we flow from the La Mesilla in Villa Alpina, where we had to go by foot or horse, what was a great experience. On the top the Condor family was already waiting and made a great show for us – WOW!. Because the wind wasn’t with us on the last day we make a visit at the Cascadas de Olean what was very relaxing. But just look at the photos and book the next flight to ARGENTINA!
And special thanks to Klaus Donat for his great support!
Cheers Michael
