The FIDES is a glider that excels at easy inflations and launches, it has very good stability even in turbulent conditions and is very forgiving of pilot errors. During the demanding flight tests, stability was proved even in non-standard flight situations, which are always judged very strictly in the category DHV 1.
The advantage of the speed system is that it offers the pilot a greatly increased speed range. It’s a real benefit to those pilots who aren’t worried about cutting edge performance of competition gliders, but rather a glider that delivers maximum safety and performance.
