We like our gear to be light, functional, reliable and exceptional. Pushing the boundaries of development where it seemed impossible a few years ago, and becoming better where others have hit limits, is the main motivation of our development team.
That's why we developed the fabric first so that we could then develop a unique product. We had to come up with a new way of weaving and find technologies for new fabric finishes. For the actual design, we used 30 years of experience in rescue system design and the latest manufacturing technology. We build the lines for high precision on a computerized machine and cut the panels themselves on CNC laser cutters. Finally, the skilled fingers of our seamstresses, who have been making parachutes and rescue equipment with us for quite a few years, have taken over and brought us QUATRO LIGHT 160.
QUATRO LIGHT 160 is a light, stable, and reliable rescue system that has experience, innovation and completely original solutions in its DNA. The backup system will primarily serve PPG pilots and hang glider pilots. However, tandem pilots and pilots for whom the traditional 130 kg MTOM is not enough will enjoy it too.
What do pilots like about QUATRO LIGHT 160?
The main distinctive features are:
Each QUATRO LIGHT 160 is delivered with:
|Min. payload (kg)*||106|
|Max. payload (kg)*||160|
|Sink rate at max. payload (m/s)*||5.35|
|Centre line length (mm)||6520|
|Weight of the rescue (kg||1.7|
|Certification||EN 12491 / LTF|
* Payload = Total take-off weight without weight of the paraglider.
We rarely start development by having to develop the fabric. Here it was different. In order to push the boundaries, we had to develop a special fabric and a specific fabric finish.
We weave this material in our own mill and manage the weaving density, quality and also all the fabric finishing steps.
The rest was easier. We used everything we had learned, took advantage of our machines and technology, and relied on the golden hands of our seamstresses who found the well-cut panels a joy to stitch.
In our development, we keep in mind that pilots may need to pack the reserve system, themselves. We have a system of packing loops designed so that the panels fold almost identically to a conventional round backup system. If you can pack round back-up, you can pack our QUATRO LIGHT 160. The fabric finish also remembers the challenges of layers sliding off - the surface is smooth but not slippery, and the pilot will appreciate that when they need to pack the reserve in the field and not the comfort of a gym or workshop.
